Well, I was fully expecting to keep up with this blog! However, life happened. I started a new career and had a baby. Both of those things are equally challenging, but throw in a pandemic and that’s how my last couple of years have been.
About ten months before the pandemic really started, I accepted a remote position with K12, now Stride, Inc! Going from spending 8-12 hours a day in a newsroom, to staying at home full-time was SUCH an adjustment… but it was an adjustment that I desperately needed.
I’ll go more into my work and the positive impact that it has had on my quality of life in future posts. I’m hoping it’ll give inspiration to anyone who may be feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I had the mindset ‘TV was all I know, and all I’ve ever done. I won’t succeed elsewhere.’ Boy, was I wrong! I’ll get into that in another post.
I’m also really looking forward to documenting the fitness journey that I am on. The definition of a journey is an act of traveling from one place to another. I’m calling my health a journey because that’s what it is. It isn’t always easy to go from one place to another on the scale or in the mirror. I get defeated and down on myself, but it is MY journey. I’m looking forward to sharing it.
Oh, and of course, I’ll be discussing our trips to Disney with a toddler and life with my mini-dachshund, Minnie! Life is precious and fun! I’m excited to share mine with you all.
